Sometimes, even the most jaded plantsman will look at a new variety, draw in his breath and say “Wow!”. That’s what happened to us when we first clapped eyes on Hyacinth ‘Dark Dimension’. You have never seen such a deep midnight blue (almost black) hyacinth, and nor had we. We salute the plant breeder who spent many years developing a truly remarkable hyacinth to add to our palette of colours. This is the nearest thing to a black hyacinth we’ve ever seen!

As the florets of Hyacinth ‘Dark Dimension’ begin to crack you notice it will be more like dark purple than being black. However, as the flower matures during the season like you can see on the different flowering stages on the images Hyacinth ‘Dark Dimension’ will end up being black!
