Muscari are the perfect spring flower — their bright colours, charming shape (like upward-pointing bunches of grapes) and low-growing habit make them ideal partners for tulips or daffodils. But have you ever seen a double-blooming grape hyacinth before? Muscari ‘Nature’s Beauty’ is a departure from the standard blue, producing flowerheads in a beautiful blend of light blue, gradually turning to cream and white. The blooms are fully double, too, gathered in tight pyramid-shaped clusters. It will make visitors look twice, for its extra layer of petals make it exceptionally fluffy! This exciting new muscari is a variant of the popular variety ‘Peppermint’. Oh, and the flowers are fragrant as well!
Muscari ‘Nature’s Beauty’ lend themselves nicely to mass plantings below deciduous trees, as front of border accents, and in containers as edgings to potted spring shrubs or mixed plantings. As with most other forms of muscari, ‘Nature’s Beauty’ will return year-after-year, with increased bloom and vigour.
