Soft primrose yellow blooms cluster on each flower stem that Narcissus ‘Hawera’ produce. They’re triandrus daffodils, so you can expect up to six blooms on every stem. This, coupled with the soft colours and easy-going growth requirements would be sufficiently attractive to most gardeners, but there’s more in store. Firstly, there’s the light, almost fruity fragrance; then there’s the benefit of its absolute reliability.
Narcissus ‘Hawera’ re-sprouts beautifully without needing lifting or any other special care. Last but not least, this late bloomer is a wonderful cut flower that keeps well in the vase. Plant your bulbs in groups of six or more. In later years, you’ll need to divide the clumps, but for now, they’re at their best when growing with their friends.
