Tulip ‘Blue Wow’

You would need to search hard to find another tulip variety like Tulip ‘Blue Wow’. A flower fully open is nothing short of an explosion of petals and colour. Of course, we know that there is no true-blue tulip—but this has to be the closest yet! The blooms are in shades of vibrant purple-blue, with green outer petals. The blooms of Tulip ‘Blue Wow’ are spectacularly ruffled when fully open, with layer upon layer of petals producing that classic peony look. It will make an eye-catching display in your spring beds, borders or patio containers, whether set on its own or as part of a mixed planting. 

Growing up to 40cm tall, the stems are strong and support the generous blooms. For this reason, it makes a great cut flower for indoor decoration as well. Tulip ‘Blue Wow’ is in the tulip Division 11, officially named a Double Late Tulip.
