The colouring of this tulip has been described as subtle, soft and delicate-looking—yet the truth is, Tulip ‘Graceland’ is as tough and as durable as the rest. It has an elegant, classic, egg-shaped flower, some 10cm across. The petals are creamy white, but have bright pink flames along their margins. It reaches a height of 50cm at maturity, making it ideal for the middle of a mid-spring border.Â
Tulip ‘Graceland’ is suitable for beds, borders or patio containers. It will mix well with contrasting and plain-colours—any plant in pink, purple, white or cream ranges particularly. Don’t forget, this beautiful tulip is wonderful as a cut flower too; its strong, tall stems are well able to carry the heavy flowers. Make sure you are able to enjoy its beauty close-up.Â
Tulip ‘Graceland’ was developed as a result of crossing early and late single tulips. It is in tulip Division 3, the Triumph Group (the largest of the tulip groups).Â
