Tulip ‘Pretty Princess’

No fairy-tale princess’s wardrobe would be complete without a gown that resembled this pretty tulip, and she’ll certainly be the belle of the ball in this one! The cup-shaped blooms of Tulip ‘Pretty Princess’ are formed of layers of silky rose-pink petals, each marked with a striking deep-magenta flame which adds the most wonderful detail. Despite its prettiness, by no means is Tulip ‘Pretty Princess’ fragile or delicate – this variety is remarkably robust and will flower neatly on top of tall, strong stems for many weeks, withstanding any weather a typical spring can throw its way. Long-lasting in the garden, it also has a very good vase life and makes a wonderful cut flower. Growing to a medium height of around 35cm tall, it’s ideal for growing in pots and containers as well as near to the front of the border. Tulip ‘Pretty Princess’ is an excellent feature plant – group the bulbs together to make stand-out pockets of bold colour which can be repeated around the garden.
