Tulip sylvestris is an excellent choice for growing in borders, rockeries and gravel gardens and can even cope with being planted in rough grass, sitting perfectly within a lovely wild or natural space. The refined flowers are simply chic with dainty pointed petals in a rich buttercup-yellow colour, sometimes with a nodding habit as well as upright for a graceful, informal variation.
